UHURU KENYATTA; OUR GOODWILL AMBASSADOR

OUR GOODWILL AMBASSADOR

On this Valentine’s Day special, I choose to reflect on the life of our very own son of Jomo himself, our beloved former president, His Excellency Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta, CGH, as one who has inspired many Kenyans, and therefore deemed worthy to be celebrated, on this fourteenth day of our black history month. One cannot miss Uhuru, if he passes you by on any street corner, for he is a well known personality, whose face was once in almost all the billboards across the country. Moreover, he hails from a political dynasty, known the world over.

We all concur that Mr. Uhuru Kenyatta is a born and bred aristocrat, a blue blood, whose royalist pedigree is well known. Yet, he is not one to dwell much on such sacred titles. Infact, I am very much convinced that this cool and calm Gatundu South native would prefer to be just be addressed as Uhuru, and nothing more. Uhuru is so down to earth, that he  would prefer to live a ordinary kind of life, if granted the chance, and would also not mind mingling with regular folk. The bourgie lifestyle of the rich and the famous is not his cup of tea, even when it oozes out his royal pores.

In a word, I would describe Uhuru as empathic individual. Despite being born with a silver spoon, his kind and generous disposition throws many people off, especially those that find it uncouth for the thoroughbred to be rubbing shoulders with the nobodies. But I guess Uhuru cannot help himself but to be noble, irregardless of his social status.

Besides, Uhuru is also not one to be pressed for any sort of drama, unless someone steps on his toes. He would rather live a quiet and tranquil life, rather than participating in juvenile squabbles or battling his opponents in a political ring. That is why he low-key avoids certain individuals who he deems as uncivilized and barbaric, and more so, those clout-chasing drama kings and queens, who are always in his ear, with something to say, because they are pressured to say something.

That is why I do believe that Uhuru would be best suited for a peace and sustainable development type of work, for his next career move. Well, sure business and politics run in his blood but he would also excel at a profession that is more peaceably related, for that is his forté. Many will disagree but I would say to all the critics that do not knock it, until you try it. This is the policy I currently live by, one which I would wish that UK would adopt and run with, instead of taking the short-cut toward early retirement.

Now that his political days are well behind him, one more great thing Uhuru is able to offer Kenyans, is his good will, and that means his benevolence is crucial, particularly for those Kenyans that need immense support, in those tight socio-economic spots. There are many Kenyans, living in adverse conditions, barely making ends meet, and are in dire need of crucial aid, the kind of philanthropic assistance that gives them the power to grow and progress in life. This is where our very noble Uhuru comes in to play, with his compassionate nature, coupled with his global connections, pulling strings and pushing weight with his socio-political and economic might, in order to better the lives of others. However, this is not to brand UK as one Captain Save a Soul, though he could be, if he wanted to, for the sake of our beloved country men and women.

Forget retirement Sir, for your service to Kenya is not yet complete. You cannot afford to hung up your spurs at such a tender age, while there is still more work to be done. We are not yet out of the woods. Infact, we are still lingering deep in the forest, where you left us. God put you in this nation to make a change, and be the change we need and desire. Therefore, how about you obligingly step out of retiral and make use of your humanitarianism and your powerful voice, to champion the plight of Kenyans, and especially them that are drowning and are in need of an anchor. Your Excellency Sir, I dare say this is your ultimate purpose and your higher calling. In any case, you will indeed retire when the day comes for you to re-join with your ancestors. Until then, consider this clarion call, for the good of this nation.

But before some of you accuse me of forcing a public solicitation of good will on the son of Jomo, let me be open and honest about being a regular Kenyan. It is tough out here for many of us, in every aspect. Therefore, it will benefit us to have a voice of compassion that is mindful of the souls of men, and Uhuru Muigai fits the bill for the task ahead, and therefore urge him to consider the plight of people of Kenya, while he decides on his next career move. But for now, I take this opportunity to congratulate the former president, His Excellency Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta, for ten years of service, in his tenure as the president, working for the betterment of the republic of Kenya.

Here is to Your Excellency Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta; when it gets cold, be the fire, when it gets dark, be the light, when it becomes tough, be the drive, and when it becomes cloudy, be the way.
